Ive already hit up another board for this and this has been discussed in the past but I'll try this ? again:

I know this question has been popping up lately since there has been much controversy over AEM CAI really the best thing for us JRSC ITR's.

I have one and love it, but am quite curious as to the claims that a short tube may actually yield more gains.

Of course there is the talk about cooler air, etc. I have been to all boards including the FI board at hostboard and have not been convinced to try...if so, what do people think is the best alternative to AEM...the Comptech intake made for JRSC ITR's or the JR intake which according to the site has not made one for the ITR's.

My only concern is that I use the GSR AEM CAI because the ITR would not fit. Can the AEM CAI intake for the ITR be modified to fit in a JRSC ITR.

a 3 inch cai is best in my opinion. colder air will allow for more agressive tuning, but must be 3 inches, not the aem 2.5 on the gsr

I've been very intrigued by your "custom" 3 in. How has that been. I do have the 2.5", would it fit. I probably would have to cut some piping off the throttle body portion and the filter end.

Also, noticed on your site the valve cover. Still no problems. I might go the Advance Auto Parts today and pick one up.
